I live in the mountains of Virginia with my husband, our young son, and our Whippet. I am an avid reader and knitter, aside from being fascinated with natural health for most of my adult life.

My health journey started soon after I got married. Unbeknownst to me, there had been warning signs in my early life, but by the time I was 20, I was catching every cold that came along, I had zero energy, and I was getting UTIs over and over again. I started looking into various natural health options pretty early on after it became clear that the doctor was just going to keep prescribing me antibiotics or telling me that maybe I needed an antidepressant. Not too long after, my husband and I casually started trying to get pregnant.

Fast forward almost 20 years…after having been diagnosed with thyroid cancer at 30, Endometriosis at 32, and having tried for over 15 years to get pregnant and being told that I had “unexplained infertility”, I decided to look into a health coaching course to see if I could help myself and my family members. I began working through the steps to heal myself, using modalities from Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Naturopathic Medicine, and Functional Medicine Labs…I was feeling more energy and vitality every day. I had scheduled a hysterectomy to deal with the symptoms of the Endometriosis, which I felt I hadn’t been able to manage through natural means, and 2 weeks before the surgery…I found out I was pregnant!!!

It’s my mission to help other women facing similar health challenges to avoid the wasted years and emotional rollercoaster ride that I was on.
